The honest summary: Holinder is free for you — always. We earn referral
commissions from travel partners (hotels, tours, activities) when you follow a link from our
app and book with them. We never sell your individual data, and we never charge you.
What we collect
- Your taste signals: the choices you make in the app (likes, passes, image picks). This is the core of the product — it's how we learn what you love.
- A device identifier: a random ID created on your phone so your profile works without an account.
- Optionally, your email: only if you create an account to back up your profile.
- Your trip settings: season, budget, climate and similar preferences you set yourself.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, or anything from other apps.
What we use it for
- Building your personal travel taste profile and matching you with fitting stays and experiences.
- Improving how well the app measures taste — always on aggregated, de-identified data.
What we never do
- Sell or rent your individual profile or personal data to anyone.
- Show you paid placements disguised as recommendations — visibility in Holinder can't be bought.
- Send your data to travel partners. When you tap through to a partner, only that partner's own website applies from there.
Where your data lives
On servers in the European Union (Supabase, AWS eu-west-1). Traffic is encrypted in transit.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data or its complete deletion at any time — email [email protected] and we will act within 30 days. In-app export and deletion are built into the product roadmap before public launch.
Partners' content
Hotel and activity information in the app comes from licensed travel partners and is shown under their content terms. Booking always happens on the partner's own site.
